Miss Solomon Islands appointed as a UNICEF Pacific Supporter

We are pleased to announce Miss Solomon Islands, Gladys Habu, as a UNICEF Pacific Supporter. “Our children are our future. I am humbled to be a UNICEF Pacific Supporter, and I look forward to working closely with the team in the stunting reduction advocacy campaign and programme efforts for the ‘First 1000 Days of Life’ campaign.” Gladys will be supporting UNICEF Pacific’s stunting reduction advocacy campaign in the Solomon Islands, raising awareness about the dangers of stunting and benefits of good nutritional practice such as eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Solomon Islands has one of the highest rates of stunting in the world, with one in three children stunted as a result of poor and under nutrition as well as frequent illness.
